Fix #1: Clear Cache

The very first and easiest method to fix this error is by clearing cache files of Google Play Store and Google Play Services.

  1. Open Settings on your mobile phone then head to Applications.
  2. There look for the Google Play Store and click on it.

  4. Now click on Clear Data button.
  5. Once you have cleared the data of Google Play Store then look for the Google Play Services application.
  6. Clear Data & Cache of Google Play Services also.

Fix #2: Reset Google Account

If the above-shared method didn’t work for you then here is another way to get rid of Error Retrieving Information from Server error. Sometimes your Google Account can also cause the problems of DF-DFERH-01 Error. 

The easiest fix is that go to Settings on your mobile. Now select Accounts then choose Google. Now open Account Preferences and tap on Delete Google Account.

  1. Step one did not help so I followed step two. When attempting to add the Google account it went to a screen that said… Checking info with a line the kept scrolling across the screen and did nothing else. It had a next button at the bottom of the page but it was grayed out… I assume while it was Checking info.
